Andy joined Friends Life as CEO in June 2011. Prevously, he joined Lloyds Banking Group in January 2007 as Managing Director, Marketing and Distribution in Scottish Widows. In December 2008, he was appointed CEO of Scottish Widows Group's General Insurance businesses.

Before that he spent 19 years at Prudential Group where he spent a number of years in Intermediated, face to face and online businesses, both in the UK and overseas, culminating as CEO of the Retirement Income business
