The ABI is inviting you to attend our annual Climate Change Conference on 4th November in London. This will be a key gathering for the insurance industry, the climate science community and climate policy makers in the run-up to the UNFCCC negotiations in Copenhagen later this year.
Please see latest agenda and confirmed speakers to the right of the webpage.
At the conference we will present and discuss the results of our Financial Risks of Climate Change research, conducted in partnership with the UK Met Office and catastrophe-modelling firm AIR. In the report, we are measuring the financial costs of extreme events in China and the UK and analyse the economics of adaptation and discuss the implications for the insurance market.
The conference will close with a panel debate between insurers, scientists and policymakers on how to ensure success in Copenhagen.
