Long Term Care Breakfast Event

This is a topical issue, particularly with the Government's Commission on the Funding of Care & Support currently underway.

The breakfast discussion takes place on Friday 15 October 2010, at the ABI Offices, 51 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7HQ.  Registration will be open from 7.30am and the discussion will begin at 8.30am and run till 10am.

The event is free to attend and breakfast will be provided.

The event will have a panel discussion with representatives from Government, academia and the insurance industry and will be chaired by the ABI's Director of General Insurance and Health, Nick Starling.

Discussion topics may include:

• How are current government policies and the political landscape influencing decisions around social care?
• How can we persuade people to plan ahead for care costs? What information do people need?
• How can we make current spending on social care more effective?
