Huw is Director of Corporate Affairs
Huw is a member of the Executive Team responsible for the ABI’s external and internal operations. He oversees four teams responsible for Communications, Public Affairs, Membership & Events, Finance & Facilities and Human Resources.
Huw joined the ABI in 2008 from the Royal Bank of Scotland Group where he was a senior manager in the Group Strategy team and worked on M&A, corporate reporting, liaison with the US business and support for the Group Chief Executive.
Huw was a Special Adviser to the Prime Minister, Tony Blair from 2005-2006 and to the Home Secretary, David Blunkett, from 2001-2004. Prior to that, he was Director of Communications for the Welsh Labour Party from 1999-2001.
