CHRISTMAS CHEERS, TEARS AND ABI CONTACTS!

· Make sure that you leave your home secure if you go away
· Ensure that your car is in good working order before visiting friends and relations.
· Remember to lock doors and windows when popping out to deliver presents.
· Revalue your contents sum insured to include any valuable Christmas gifts such as home computers.
· You should look out for pickpockets in crowded shops during the New Year sales.

· Check to see if your contents sum insured is automatically increased, on a temporary basis, to cover Christmas presents.
· Hide out of sight any valuables in unattended vehicles.
· Remember to leave your car at home if you intend to have a drink.
· If holding a New Year's Eve party, check to see if you have accidental damage cover against spills and accidents.
· Should you suffer damage following bad weather, arrange temporary repairs.
· Take care when cooking the Xmas dinner - more accidents happen in the kitchen than anywhere else in the home.
· Make a note of any emergency telephone helpline numbers in case you need to contact your insurer in an emergency.
· Always turn off Christmas tree lights when going out.
