ABI supports new body to promote London's financial services overseas

Commenting on the launch today of the Financial Services Board by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, the ABI’s Director General, Stephen Haddrill, said:

“In these times of economic uncertainty, it is particularly important to promote the excellence of London as a financial services centre. It is therefore an opportune moment for the capital’s Mayor to launch this new co-ordinating body.

“Financial services will be the motor that pulls the UK, and the wider world, out of recession. The insurance industry strongly supports this initiative and stands ready to play a full part in it.”
