8 August 2011 - Consolidation of Aviva's General Insurance Business Structure
Aviva is proposing to consolidate its UK Non-life Insurance business by transferring it into one main company, Aviva Insurance Limited. At the same it is proposing to consolidate its run-off London Market and Global Risks business into a separate company, The Ocean Marine Insurance Company Limited. Aviva has already made an application to the Courts in England, Scotland and Jersey to seek an order approving the Transfers under Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 ("FSMA") and the equivalent Jersey legislation.
