Protection and Sustainability:ABI proposals on solicitors’ professional indemnity insurance

The ABI has published its proposals for change to the way that Solicitors’ Professional Indemnity Insurance works and how solicitors are regulated. The current arrangements are subject to severe cyclical shocks, do little to improve the standing or quality of the solicitors’ profession, and do not protect the public from being victims of fraud or incompetence.

We will be developing these proposals further in the months to come and working with partners to help protect the market from future shocks.”
