Greg Clark MP chairs the House of Commons Science, Innovation and Technology Select Committee, having chaired its predecessor, the Science and Technology Select Committee, through the peak of the Covid crisis between 2020 and 2022.
First elected as the MP for Tunbridge Wells in 2005, Greg became a member of the Cabinet when he served as Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government from 2015 until 2016 and then as Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from 2016 to 2019. He returned to Cabinet on a temporary basis as Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities during 2022.
