“This FCA guidance provides clarity during this unprecedented global crisis. The FCA rightly recognises that insurers are making significant efforts in difficult operating conditions.
“Insurers are doing everything possible to support their customers at this worrying time.
“For example, people working from home will be covered by their home insurance, as will motorists using their vehicles for essential reasons.”
