02 February 2017 14:00 (registration 13:45) - 16:00 followed by networking drinks
ABI, 8th floor, One America Square, London EC3N 2LB
The ABI is pleased to announce we are hosting a seminar exploring how insurers’ investment behaviour is responding in reaction to the financial crisis, low interest rates, and the regulatory environment.
We are delighted to have Joseph Noss, Senior Manager, Capital Markets Division at the Bank of England as the keynote address, who will share the Bank’s latest thinking in this area.
Joseph’s address will be followed by a panel featuring a range of speakers, including Raj Singh, Group Chief Risk Officer at Standard Life, offering their perspectives on insurers’ investment response, and the consequences for the capital markets. The discussion will explore topics including whether insurers contribute to the procyclicality of capital markets and the desirability of macroprudential tools for insurance, an issue being considered by the Financial Policy Committee this year.
