Supporting sustainable practice in the venues we choose for meetings and events and embedding environmental sustainability into our criteria for selection including travel (through an emission mapping tool), waste, food (calculating production, transport and waste emissions when possible) and beverages, and energy. Reducing single use plastic and only using sustainable and recyclable merchandise. Using digital tools to deliver content rather than printed materials at events, and if printing can’t be avoided, only using recycled paper. Reinvesting savings and efficiencies to offset our carbon footprint – in 2020 we planted 1,000 trees through the World Land Trust ‘Plant a Tree’ programme, providing permanent protection for habitats and wildlife.
