The October dashboards connection deadline marks a major milestone for the industry. With that date passing shortly before this event, with Targeted Support six months in, and new rules expected on Guided Retirement, later life lending, tax and advice, attention must turn to the wider question of engagement: How do savers interact with their pensions, what prompts action, and what genuinely improves outcomes over the long term? These policy changes are part of that picture; but they are not, on their own, the answer.
This conference will shift the focus beyond infrastructure and rules, onto behaviour and outcomes. It will examine how firms, employers and policymakers can move from simply making information available to ensuring it is understood, trusted and acted upon, across accumulation, consolidation and retirement.
Bringing together senior voices from industry, policy and regulation, the event will focus on what needs to change if engagement is to move from a long-standing aspiration to something that works in practice for savers.
