Sustainability, ESG & net zero commitment
At The ABI, sustainability is an important part of how we plan, deliver and continually improve our events and business operations. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and supporting responsible business practices that contribute to a more sustainable future.
As part of this commitment, we have moved away from printed event programmes and materials. Instead, delegates can access event information, agendas and audience engagement tools digitally via their phone, tablet or laptop, helping to reduce paper consumption and unnecessary waste.
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles are considered throughout our business and event planning processes. We recognise the role that organisations have in creating positive environmental and social outcomes, and we strive to work with partners who share these values.
When selecting venues, suppliers and catering partners, we undertake due diligence to ensure sustainability is a key consideration. Wherever possible, we prioritise organisations that demonstrate strong environmental credentials, responsible sourcing practices, waste reduction initiatives and a commitment to lowering carbon emissions.
We recognise that sustainability is an ongoing journey. By continuously reviewing our operations, measuring our impact and seeking opportunities for improvement, we aim to ensure that we delive high-quality events in a responsible, ethical and environmentally conscious manner.
