On 8th November 2018, Megan Butler, Director of Supervision – Investment, Wholesale and Specialist, and member of the Executive Committee, FCA will join us for an Executives’ Club breakfast. This breakfast will be an ‘in conversation’ style event chaired by ABI Director General, Huw Evans.
Megan Butler was appointed in June 2016 and had previously been in the role on secondment from the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).
Megan joined the Bank of England in 2013 as Executive Director of International Banks Directorate after moving from our predecessor organisation, the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Megan has been a supervisor since 2008, when she became Head of the Department responsible for the supervision of the UK operations of the major investment banks. Prior to moving to supervision, Megan was Head of Enforcement Law and Policy at the FSA, and for a number of years chaired the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Standing Committee 4 which is concerned with international enforcement cooperation.
