Helping to bring about a more diverse and inclusive insurance and long-term savings industry is a priority for the ABI and one I personally support as Chair of the ABI Board. It was good to discuss the challenges of gender diversity with some of you at the recent ABI Diversity Breakfast in January. This session marks the next phase of this work, to explore the role that we can play as leaders to be supportive of LGBT+ colleagues so they can bring their whole self to work.
We will hear from Geoff Godwin, UK Chief Operating Officer at AIG and from Suki Sandhu, founder and CEO at OUTstanding, the LGBT+ inclusion specialists that the ABI has partnered with. Huw Evans, the ABI’s Director General, and Yvonne Braun, the ABI’s Director of Policy for Long-Term Savings and Protection and executive sponsor for LGBT+ inclusion, will also join us.
As leaders, we set the tone within our organisations, so I do hope you or another senior member of your leadership team are able to join this session to explore the practical actions we can all take to bring about positive change.
