Russell has over eleven years’ experience in the field of insurance premium taxes on global insurance programmes, handling compliance and advisory challenges such as risk location determination, premium tax liability, co-insurance and financial interest clause cover. Since August 2018 Russell has been the Indirect Tax Manager at Tokio Marine HCC responsible for IPT and VAT compliance within the group. Prior to that, Russell worked for financial service providers Ernst and Young and TMF, where he was a key participant in the creation of online global premium tax calculation tools, as well as dealing with global advisory and compliance matters for many insurers. Russell is a member of the ABI Indirect Tax Working Group.
