Jane Duncan, Chair of the RIBA Expert Advisory Group on Fire Safety and Former President, RIBA

JAne duncan.jpgJane Duncan OBE is a former President of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the UK body for architecture and the architectural profession. She is Chair of the Expert Advisory Group on Fire Safety, established by RIBA Council following the Grenfell Tower fire disaster.


Jane is Director of award-winning practice, Jane Duncan Architects + Interiors based in Buckinghamshire. Established in 1992, the practice undertakes a mixture of projects which vary from sustainable contemporary to traditional and listed buildings.


She has been a small practice champion at RIBA and was 6 years Vice President for Practice. From 2013-2015 she was also the RIBA’s Equality and Diversity champion.


Jane was awarded an OBE for services to increasing diversity in architecture in The Queen’s Birthday Honours 2018.
