Richard joined Thatcham Research in 2017 as Chief Technical Officer. Thatcham undertake research into vehicles and vehicle technology on behalf of the UK motor insurance industry, in order to understand risk, mitigate claims and influence external stakeholders. Richard is responsible for all of the organisation’s technical operations and research, providing direction for the ZEV agenda and developing collaborative partnerships with government and industry.
Richard’s previous roles have been in the design and delivery of cutting-edge automotive and motorsport engineering programmes, having previously worked at transmissions specialist Xtrac Ltd, Renault Formula 1 and Williams Advanced Engineering.
