David Parkin has been the Deputy Director for Civil Justice and Law Policy at
the Ministry of Justice since 2018. He is responsible for a wide range of civil justice issues, including the development and implementation of the whiplash reforms. David has had a varied career in the Ministry of Justice, Home Office and Charity Commission, and has previously worked on legal aid, sentencing, prisons and probation reform policy.
