Fayyaz is the Deputy Director for Green Finance and Prudential Policy in the Financial Services Group of the Treasury. His team is responsible for the regulatory framework for green finance, including sustainability-related disclosures, the UK Green Taxonomy and the Transition Plan Taskforce. The team also covers the prudential regime for banks and investment firms. Fayyaz has been at the Treasury since 2012, and as previously been responsible for digital infrastructure, business lending and climate change policy.
