Silas Ojo is a Policy Adviser in the Conduct Regulation team where he is responsible for General Insurance conduct issues.
Silas joined the ABI in May 2023 after working in the House of Commons as Parliamentary Researcher for a Member of Parliament. In that role he provided policy, research, and strategic support for the Member across their duties in Westminster including as a member of the Justice Select Committee and later the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Select Committee.
During his time in Parliament, Silas also supported the Mercatus Centre and Schmidt Future’s joint AI 500 project as a Strategic Advisor. The project sought recommendations to support the UK’s goal of securing a strategic advantage in artificial intelligence.
Silas graduated from SOAS, University of London, having studied Development Studies at undergraduate level and Public Policy, Finance and Management at postgraduate level.
