Overview:

Join us for an insightful afternoon where The ABI, in collaboration with DACB, will delve into some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities shaping the motor insurance landscape. This event will provide a platform to explore the role of the Motor Insurance Taskforce in addressing key industry issues, including the rising costs of repairs and the growing prevalence of electric vehicles within the national fleet. Through expert-led discussions, we will identify emerging trends, highlight the implications for insurers and consumers, and consider the reforms needed to build a more resilient and innovative sector.

This event will also look forward to the Ministry of Justice’s review of the whiplash reforms, which is planned for late 2025. We will consider the impact of the whiplash reforms to date, key trends and further changes the industry would like to see – such as an increase in the road traffic accident small claims limit and improvements to the quality of medical reporting.

Finally, the event will reflect on developments in credit hire – including the ongoing reform of the GTA and the potential for reform of credit hire and repair more broadly.

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with thought leaders and peers as we chart a forward-thinking path for motor insurance in a changing world.
