Dr Esther Taylor is the Head of Research at Thatcham Research, leading a team focused on understanding emerging vehicle technologies through an insurance lens—assessing their impact on safety, security, and sustainable repair. With a PhD in Engineering and over 30 years’ experience across the automotive and energy sectors, she has held senior roles at BP, Aggreko, and Indra Renewable Technologies. A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IMI, she is passionate about technology research and skills development.
