Rob is Chief Economist at economics consultancy, WPI Economics. Prior to consultancy Rob has spent over a decade working at the heart of government on some of the biggest economic issues facing the UK, including as a Deputy Director in HM Treasury, where he led major economic analyses and publications, including of Brexit, Covid, net zero and Scottish independence. Rob joined WPI from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, where, as Chief Economist, he oversaw economic analysis across the department's portfolio. Rob has also worked outside of consultancy and national government, including in a business group, in a Brussels-based think-tank and in local government. Rob holds a Master's degree in Economics & Public Policy from the University of Bristol.
