Matt Forde, Comedian and Impressionist

Matt Forde.jpgMatt Forde is one of the country’s most in-demand stand-up comedians, satirists, and host of Dave’s ultra-topical political comedy show Unspun with Matt Forde. Alongside four hugely successful series of his own show, Matt’s credits include Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You, The Royal Variety Performance and Question Time to name a few.

Matt’s monthly residency in London, The Political Party, sells-out Westminster’s St James’ Theatre. Alongside Matt’s trademark topical current affairs stand-up, the show brings Parliament to life as he interviews some of politics’ most notorious figures, past guests have included Tony Blair, Alastair Campbell, Nigel Farage, Michael Portillo, Dame Tessa Jowell, John Prescott, Alan Johnson, David Davis, Stella Creasy, Jack Straw and George Galloway.

Outside of television, Matt records his chart-topping podcast The Political Party every month at Westminster’s The Other Palace. The show has featured some of the biggest names in politics from Tony Blair to Nigel Farage, amassing over 850,000 downloads on Soundcloud. This year, Matt also became the presenter of Saturday afternoon’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Football on Absolute Radio alongside co-host Matt Dyson.

He subsequently launched a spin-off show The Sports Party which interviews sporting figures alongside celebrity fans and is broadcast on talkSPORT. Previous guests of which included Jimmy Bullard, Eric Hall, Dave Bassett, Jon Richardson and Romesh Ranganathan.

As a writer Matt has worked regularly on 8 out of 10 Cats (C4), Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3), The Last Leg (C4) and Stand Up for the Week (C4).

Matt hosts a weekly radio show with Jon Richardson on talkSPORT; The Warm Up takes a lighthearted look at the weekends football fixtures each Saturday from 11am-1pm. Matt can also be heard on the radio on The Now Show and The News Quiz (both on BBC Radio 4). Matt regularly reviews the newspapers for Sky News and has contributed to features on ITV’s evening news.

Following nationwide tours of his previous four shows, Matt sold out on his run at the Edinburgh Festival in 2018, receiving wide critical acclaim. He returned to the Fringe this year with his latest take on the country’s political affairs in Brexit, Pursued by a Bear. Matt's polished blend of political satire, mixed with his eye for an impression make him the ideal choice for any corporate event.
