Richard Iferenta, Partner & Vice Chair, KPMG

Richard Iferenta.jpgRichard is a Tax Partner and Vice Chair with KPMG in its Financial Services Practice. Richard worked with KPMG’s Managing Partner to set up the Black Heritage (BH) Working Group which brings together senior stakeholders who can deliver a strategy to build on inclusion of BH colleagues.  Richard has played a critical role as part of the BHWG to devise KPMG’s very proactive Black Lives Action Plan which not only aims to double black people in leadership but also to enhance our policies to support the career progression of black colleagues in KPMG.

Richard also Chairs the Race Diversity Board for Business in the Community, The Prince’s Trust and has championed many initiatives such as:

  • The Race at Work Charter highlighting key issues faced by BAME in the workplace and setting out five key areas of focus for businesses. This has been endorsed by the Government.
  • Leading the roll out of the five Charter focus areas via a series of events with CEOs.
  • Driving the agenda and collaborating with Government to set Ethnicity Pay Gap reporting; and
  • Race at Work: Black Voices Report which was published in August.

More broadly, Richard is an ambassador of the CBI’s Change the Race Ratio which is aimed at driving more inclusion of the BAME community in leadership positions in the business community.

Richard has recently been recognised yet again as being amongst the Top 10 most influential Black people in the UK by the Powerlist 2021 for the third year running.  Richard is also recognised in the EMPower list for his efforts in driving the inclusion agenda in the business community.
