Owen is the Personal Lines Managing Director at Aviva accountable for the overall management of Aviva’s £2.5bn NWP Personal Lines business, including responsibility for the P&L, end-to-end customer outcomes, premium growth, product development, underwriting, AI and analytics, customer conduct and future strategy.
Owen previously led Aviva’s General Insurance Pricing and Underwriting function, founding our global data science practice in 2017, and was Managing Director of Aviva’s Quote Me Happy business, Aviva’s online-only digital, direct business. Owen became a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2006 and has been an active member of a number of research working parties covering elasticity modelling; model monitoring and validation; and fairness in insurance pricing. Beyond insurance, taking leadership positions on diversity, in particular neurodiversity, and driving for an industry approach to data founded on ethics and customer benefit. Owen was a board member of the Wherry School in Norwich, building and establishing a new purpose-built school for Autistic children and continues to champion neurodiversity in our business sector.
