Sam Dean leads Grant Thornton’s Tax Risk Management Team. Sam has over 12 years of experience working in HMRC’s Specialist Investigation and Fraud Investigation units working on offshore tax evasion and the facilitators of tax crime. Since joining the firm in 2022, Sam has developed the core tax risk management services and supports clients of all shapes and sizes, across all sectors, from FTSE 100s to small startups with the practical application of all things tax governance. Outside of work, Sam has two young children aged 6 and 4 so can often be seen playing taxi driver to football, golf, dance, gymnastics, swimming and a seemingly endless number of children’s parties.
