Rachel Johnson, Journalist and Broadcaster

Rachel Johnson X.jpgRachel Johnson was the first female graduate trainee at the Financial Times and has worked for national newspapers since the age of 23. She has written four novels - one of which won her only literary award,The Bad Sex prize jointly with John Updike - and two volumes of diaries.

Rachel is a co-presenter on Sky News, The Pledge topical debate show and makes all too frequent appearances on Question Time, Any Questions, HIGNFY, Newsnight, Marr and other programmes. She is a columnist on the Oldie, GQ, and the New European. She lives in London and Somerset with her husband Ivo Dawnay, a director of the National Trust.
