Liisa Antola is a Senior Policy Adviser for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at the ABI, where she leads the implementation of the ABI DEI Blueprint—our strategy to build a more inclusive insurance and long-term savings sector.
She manages the ABI DEI Network, bringing together members to share best practice and collaborate on key initiatives. She also works closely with colleagues across data, HR, and conduct to help the sector achieve its ambition of becoming the most diverse, equitable, and inclusive in the UK economy.
While her role spans a wide range of DEI priorities, she is particularly engaged in work around apprenticeships, skills development, and talent attraction—key areas for building a future-ready financial services workforce. Currently she also gets to travel across the UK visiting members to deliver our Allyship Awareness training.
Liisa joined the ABI in December 2022 from a London-based youth empowerment charity. Before that, she worked in the renewable energy sector across the Nordic countries. She holds a double MSc in International Management and Strategic Human Resource Management from Finland.
