Laura Hughes is a member of General Insurance team, responsible for leading the insurance industry’s policy positions on a range of issues including property, flooding, fire and riots.
She joined the ABI in January 2015 after seven years at the Environment Agency, where she was responsible for providing parliamentary advice covering regulated industry, energy, and climate change. Prior to that she led on communications and engagement for national flooding and coastal erosion policy issues, and also previously managed the development of the Environment Agency’s strategic response during major incidents.
Laura previously studied Geography (BSc) at Nottingham University.
