A year on from the ABI’s first Climate Summit, where we launched an industry wide Roadmap, this webinar is an opportunity to review progress on the commitments the sector has made, refresh our approach in light of the significant regulatory and policy developments at COP26 and refocus our efforts in addressing the biggest challenges.
The webinar showcases the progress our sector is making and you hear from the industry leaders who are driving the sector’s commitments on climate change. It also considers the ever-growing raft of reporting and risk management expectations on firms, with attendees able to question the senior policymakers and regulators taking forward the UK’s Greening Finance strategy.
In addition, as we did in the first summit, we bring in outside voices to provide inspiration about why reaching Net Zero is so important and, where necessary, to challenge us on areas where commitments and actions need to be stronger to cope with such a major threat to society.
The agenda focuses in particular on
- how we move from analysing data to practical actions
- how we evolve our work to go beyond emissions reduction to protecting ecosystems and biodiversity
- how we align climate action with social impact
