The ABI welcomes findings from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) research in to the Government's auto-enrolment scheme.
The study provided an analysis of opt out rates from 50 large employers and showed that on average just 9% of people have opted out of a workplace pension.
Steve Gay, Director of Life , Savings and Protection, ABI comments:
"The DWP findings are really encouraging and demonstrate the importance of auto-enrolment in helping millions of workers plan for their retirement.
"We must now build on this success, if we are to ensure Britain becomes a nation of savers."
