ABI Year in Review 2013

Review 2013The ABI has published a review of 2013 reflecting on the major developments in our key policy areas over the past 12 months.

In Review 2013 we focus on:

A changing industry - the significant commitments by ABI members on Pensions, the Retirement Choices Code, Flooding and Mesothelioma.

Driving down costs for insurers - the ABI's work to remove unnecessary costs for insurers, such as Reform of the civil justice system, Whiplash and motor costs, Young Drivers, Fraud and Riots.

Creating the right business environment - establishing new working relationships with the FCA and PRA, along with developments in the EU and International regulatory environment, such as Solvency II.

Supporting investment - the ABI's refocused policy on capital markets and continued influence on corporate governance.

New ideas for a forward-thinking industry - kick-starting new debates and applying expert knowledge and analysis to the major challenges in UK society. 

ABI for members - the range of services the ABI gave its members, such as statistics, a new website, events and communications to support policy and campaigning priorities.
