ABI responds to FCA statement on fair treatment of long standing customers in life insurance

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has today clarified details on the publication of its Business Plan next week.  

Hugh SavillCommenting on the FCA's statement, Hugh Savill, the ABI’s Director of Regulation, said:

“This review by the FCA is not starting for another three months, and we will of course work closely with them as they undertake this and as their thinking develops.

"Insurers do take their Treating Customers Fairly obligations very seriously, and company boards regularly review all aspects of product design, customer servicing and product performance. This is as relevant to older product lines as it is to new ones.”
