ABI comments on the FCAs thematic review of household and travel insurance claims

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) today published the full findings of its thematic review on household and travel insurance claims handling.

Commenting on the findings, an ABI spokesman said:

"Customers rightly expect insurers to deliver an efficient, speedy and fair claims service. We are pleased that the FCA review of household and travel insurance claims has found no systematic evidence of insurers not playing fair with their customers.

"But there is no room for complacency as insurers are continually looking at how to further improve the claims process, and will be taking into account the findings of this review.”
