Technology giant IBM has joined the Association of British Insurers (ABI) as an Associate Member, the largest firm to do so.
Angela Magee, Vice President, Insurance, IBM Global Business Services (UK and Ireland), has blogged about why here.
Huw Evans, Director General of the ABI, said:
“We are delighted to announce IBM has become our largest Associate Member. Welcoming such a notable household name reflects the quality and international reach of the ABI’s work. With their global expertise in technology, the ABI’s associate membership provides IBM with further opportunities to work alongside our members and our key stakeholders, and I look forward to collaborating with them.”

Notes for Editors
The ABI’s associate membership category was developed to meet interest from non-insurance and white label companies, such as legal firms, consultants, price comparison sites, and the wide variety of suppliers, including software houses, who help insurers deliver their services. Associate members benefit from a wide range of ABI services including opportunities to engage with Members and ABI staff and receive updates on key insurance issues in both the UK and EU policy arenas.
