The Pension Policy Institute has launched the second report in the Engaging with ESG series which is co-sponsored by the ABI. This report focusses on Climate Change and looks at the attitudes and behaviour affecting consideration of climate change in pension scheme investment. ABI Director of Long-Terms Savings and Protection, Yvonne Braun, was a panellist at the launch event .
Yvonne Braun, Director of Long-Term Savings and Protection at the ABI said:
“Preventing irreversible global warming is a gigantic task for Governments, industries and scientists alike. The long-term savings industry has a crucial role to play in decarbonising the economy, supported by a growing number of savers who want their money to drive positive change. This needs consensus about the most appropriate data and customer disclosures as well as wider public policy choices. The industry will continue to work with Government on this agenda as we prepare for the climate summit in Glasgow later this year.”
