Ken Norgrove, Chief Executive Officer, UK & International, at RSA Insurance part of the Intact Group, is the new Deputy President of the Association of British Insurers (ABI). He takes up his role with immediate effect.
As Deputy President, Ken will work alongside ABI President Tim Bailey to engage with key stakeholders and act as a lead voice for the sector. As part of the role he will also sit on the ABI’s Consumer Committee and Appointments and Remuneration Committee.
Ken brings more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry and has led some of the firm's most ambitious ventures and important business turnarounds.
Ken replaces Clare Bousfield, former Chief Executive, Retail and Savings, M&G plc. Clare stepped down from her role at M&G last autumn but remained as the ABI’s Deputy President while the ABI’s Investment Delivery Forum picked up pace. She will continue to play a key role with the Forum going forwards.

Ken has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry and a history with RSA that dates back to 1986.
Over the years, Ken has been at the forefront of some of RSA's most successful ventures, including its renewable energy business and global business model.
Ken has also served as CEO of two international RSA businesses. Under his leadership, RSA Scandinavia delivered its best financial results in a decade. And between 2014 and 2019 he led the successful turnaround of RSA Ireland.

Ken is a Chartered Insurance Director, a Chartered Insurer and fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute UK (CII). He has held several directorship positions in Europe and served as president of Insurance Ireland and the Insurance Institute of Ireland.
