Helen Mitchell

Helen Mitchell is Communications Manager and a member of the external affairs team, responsible for generating media coverage and managing reactive media enquiries.

Helen joined the ABI in 2022 from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), where she managed the running of the press office and social media channels through several high-profile investigations and reputational issues. Prior to that, Helen worked in the BBC News communications team, promoting its UK and worldwide output. She began her career as a Communications Officer for the NHS Litigation Authority having studied History with Media Arts at Plymouth University.
