The ABI’s work on pension language: Making Retirement Choices Clear

The language used in pensions is often complex and full of jargon. When new retirement options were introduced in April 2015 we worked with the Government, regulators, consumer representatives and the wider industry to develop clear and consistent language to describe them.

Supporters of the guide, including ABI members, have agreed to start implementing the guide in their communications by April 2018.
