The ABI Spring Tax Update on 20 March 2025 assembles an A-list of speakers to consider the tax and economic landscape as it impacts ABI members.
The 2025 event speakers include Dan Neidle, a British tax lawyer, investigative journalist and commentator, who researches and writes on issues of tax law and tax policy. He founded Tax Policy Associates, a non-profit which advises policymakers and journalists on tax policy.
Our other featured speaker is David Gauke, Head of Public Policy at Macfarlanes. David is well known as a British political commentator, solicitor and former politician who was a Member of Parliament from 2005 to 2019. He served for many years as a Minister in HM Treasury under the Cameron/Osborne leadership before becoming Chief Secretary to the Treasury when Theresa May came to power. He subsequently held further Cabinet roles, including as Lord Chancellor.
There will be commentary from both and a Q&A session, chaired by ABI Head of Tax Dan Gallon. This will be an opportunity to reflect on the progress of the new government, the impact of the measures in the 2024 Autumn Budget and a look at the year ahead for the economy and the industry.
