Boyd Hackett

Boyd Hackett is Head of Underwriting at the National House Building Council (NHBC), the UK’s leading home warranty provider. His team leads pricing and risk management strategy for non-standard business, NHBC’s bond portfolio, portfolio monitoring and reinsurance account.

Boyd led the development and placement of NHBC’s Major Projects reinsurance programme. He has also recently completed a fundamental review of NHBC’s reinsurance portfolio, delivering changes including an overhaul of NHBC’s main programme.

During over 15 years in the insurance industry, as well as Underwriting Boyd has gained experience in claims, product management and project delivery. Boyd has an Advanced Diploma in Insurance from CII and recently completed the ABI Future Leaders Programme.
