Julie Shah

Senior Policy Adviser, European and International Affairs

Julie is part of the Regulation directorate and leads on the ABI’s work on international trade.

She joined the ABI in December 2014 from the Pension Protection Fund where she was their Public Affairs Manager for two years, responsible for lobbying on UK and EU pensions issues. Prior to that, she spent three years working in the European Parliament for Dr Kay Swinburne MEP, who led her political group on financial services issues.

She has also worked for the Conservative Party in their central offices and for backbench MP, Graham Stuart. She studied French and Business Management at Queen Mary, University of London, followed by European Studies at King’s College London.
