Melanie Fernandes

Working across long-term savings and general insurance issues, Melanie helps to maintain an effective and influential profile for the trade association with parliamentarians as the ABI’s Public Affairs Adviser. Melanie previously worked within the ABI’s press team and prior to that, supported the ABI’s diversity & inclusion work.

Melanie joined the ABI in 2016 from political consultancy Rohde Public Policy where she worked on a variety of policy issues related to pharmaceutical market access. She has also worked within the Mental Health department at Duncan Lewis solicitors.

Melanie is currently undertaking the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ post graduate specialist diploma in Public Affairs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Manchester.
