Richard Rowney

Richard Rowney is the CEO of LV= and has been with the company 11 years. Richard was appointed Group Chief Executive of LV= in June 2016.  Prior to this he had been Managing Director of the group’s Life & Pensions business which he successfully turned into one of the UK’s leading protection and retirement specialist companies. He originally joined LV= in February 2007 as Group Chief Operating Officer and was appointed to the Board in August 2007.  As Group COO Richard was responsible for the transformation programme that saw LV= successfully re-brand and develop functions to support the trading businesses that have delivered significant growth over the past decade.  Richard is a board member of the Association of British Insurers
