Henry Raine
Managing Director and Head of London office, Promontory Financial Group
Henry has more than three decades of leadership experience in financial services, and during his distinguished career has worked in investment banking, law, and financial technology. He is an expert in managing change and building and advising teams to solve strategic challenges.
Prior to joining Promontory Financial Group in 2016 Henry restructured a leading fin tech company; oversaw all company discussions with U.K. and global regulators.
Henry was previously a senior partner at commercial law firm Herbert Smith, where he led the investment bank regulatory practice, created and led the business-development function. Additionally, as a member of the firm’s management committee, he was closely involved in the firm’s international expansion. Earlier in his career, Henry was a senior banker in corporate finance at BZW Corporate Finance, an executive at Kleinwort Benson, and a solicitor at Linklaters.
He earned his postgraduate legal diploma at the College of Law, Lancaster Gate, and his bachelor’s degree in jurisprudence from Magdalen College, Oxford University.
