Susan Abbott

Susan Abbott is a Senior HR Adviser in the HR team, part of the Shared Services Directorate.

She is responsible for leading the delivery of the direct sourcing model at the ABI, in order to attract and hire exceptional candidates.

Susan joined the ABI in 2017 from Amnesty International, where she was responsible for supervising the International Recruitment team and carrying out the recruitment to fully staff several brand new international offices, as well as hiring staff into established regional offices. Prior to that, she worked as Resourcing Advisor at Penguin Random House UK.

She began her career as an Underwriting Coordinator before moving into a HR role at what was then Penguin Books, having studied BA Hons Fashion Journalism.
