The ABI is the voice of the UK’s world leading insurance and long-term savings industry.
We are a trade body representing more than 200 member companies. We do not regulate insurance companies or mediate in disputes with companies, and we cannot provide legal or financial advice.
Our website provides information which could help you with:
- buying insurance
- making a complaint
- tracing an insurance policy
- reporting insurance fraud
- calculating the cost of rebuilding your home
- a specific product, such as motor insurance or pensions
However, we regret that we cannot help with general public enquiries on these issues.
The former ABI code lists (such as construction, occupation and claims types) are now managed for the insurance industry by Polaris. Enquiries relating to subscription to the lists should be directed here.
Enquiries relating to Code List 44 (Vehicle Identification Codes) should be directed to Thatcham.
If your insurance-related business is interested in becoming an ABI member, there is information under joining the ABI.
For general enquiries, please phone 0207 600 3333 or email info@abi.org.uk.
If we can help you with any constituency casework, please get in touch with the ABI's Public Affairs Team.
